AI Robot Companion Scorecard: Robot Hardware, OurDream, GoLove.ai

My verdict is GoLove.ai, and the robot body doesn't really compete. A robot companion sounds like the future until you list what you actually want from her: a voice that answers, a memory that holds, and a face you can see whenever you ask. Put those three rows in a table and the hardware question mostly answers itself.

Here's why. Voice, memory and media are the rows that make a companion feel like one consistent person, and GoLove.ai covers all three. A chassis changes only two rows, form factor and price, and nobody wants a companion for either of those.

Open the roster and you can check the table yourself in a minute. Every character there already has voice, memory and photos switched on, and nothing has to ship to your door first.

AI Companion Robot or App: What a Physical Body Buys You

A body adds presence and changes very little else on the scorecard. Three myths are worth clearing up first:

VOICE

HEAR HER SAY IT

Real-time voice calls and voice notes.

Call Her
— voice
  • Memory. Myth: a body makes her remember you better. Fact: memory is software, so check what the device's software keeps.
  • Voice. Myth: a physical speaker means a more natural voice. Fact: the voice comes from the AI and the audio, wherever it plays.
  • Personality. Myth: hardware makes her more "real." Fact: the personality is AI either way.

Presence in the room

I'll give hardware this one. Something that takes up space and sits across from you after the screen goes dark is a different feeling, and some adults will pay for that alone. That's a fair reason.

What still runs on software

Voice, memory and personality are the AI in either case. Take the body away and the companion is still software doing the talking.

Upgrades, cost and checking the maker

Robot pricing, specs and update policies vary by maker, so check the maker's site before you set a budget. Two questions to ask: does the AI software get updates, and do those updates cost extra? A body on a shelf is a long way from a companion who's actually there for you, which is why the hardware angle strikes me as a little overhyped.

Voice and Memory: The Rows That Make a Companion Feel Real

These two rows decide whether she feels like the same person tomorrow. GoLove.ai covers both, and neither one needs a chassis.

Live voice calls versus voice messages

You get two modes. Live real-time voice calls are for when you want her on the line. Voice messages are async notes that sit in the thread like texts. If "companion" means "someone to talk to," calls are the clutch feature.

Memory and relationship progression

Memory keeps your history, and relationship progression moves the dynamic forward so it doesn't reset each time you open the app. That's the continuity row. Without it, you're reintroducing yourself to a stranger with good lighting.

Chat Settings: voice, lust level, response length

  • Voice picker: choose how she sounds.
  • Lust level: 5 levels, from 1 (sweet) to 5 (unfiltered).
  • Response length: 5 levels, from short and snappy to rich and immersive.

Does a robot body make voice better? No. Voice quality comes from the AI and the audio, not the chassis. A speaker inside a shell is still just a speaker.

Photos, Video and the Feed: Unpacking the Media Row

> 147 video modes: 76 realistic, 20 anime, 35 trans and 16 anime-trans. That's plus 89 picture poses across the same four categories.

Most people start with photos, so we will too.

Photo requests and video actions in chat

Ask her for a photo in chat, NSFW included, and it lands right in the thread. From that same chat you can generate a video with her by picking an action in the Select Action modal, so the clip stars the character you're already talking to. You never switch tabs, which is more than I can say for most apps in this space.

The video generator's preset cards

  • Images: 35 poses, 21 outfits, 34 backgrounds, generated in batches of 2, 4 or 8.
  • Video: stack an action/pose card ("Twerk," "Hard Doggy Style") with a Clothes card and a Background card, then tap Generate once.
  • Characters: any GoLove character works, or your own custom one.

Generate → Video — stack preset cards (pose, outfit, scene) on any character and hit Generate (tap to zoom)

The Feed and Remix

The Feed is a vertical, Reels-style stream of clips. Hit Remix and Generate opens preloaded with that clip's character and exact settings, so you tweak instead of starting from scratch. From any clip you can also open that character's chat or call her. A robot can't do any of that without a printer bolted to its back.

Every photo and clip leads back to a character you can actually talk to. Pick one, open the chat and call her from the same thread. That's the media row and the voice row covered in a couple of taps.

One Evening With an App Companion, Click by Click

This evening is built only from features the app actually lists. It needs no robot and no assembly.

  1. Pick her. Open Explore and tap a character, and the chat opens.
  2. Tune her. In Chat Settings, set the lust level and response length, then pick her voice.
  3. Ask for a photo. Request one in chat, then pick a video action to generate a short clip with her in the same thread.
  4. Call her. Switch to a live voice call when typing feels too slow.

Later, she's waiting in your Chats list with her last message previewed. Open the thread and memory carries it forward, so the relationship picks up where you left it instead of starting over at "hello."

PHOTOS

ASK HER FOR PHOTOS

She sends them right there in the chat.

Voice, memory and media, the scorecard's continuity rows, all fit into one sitting. The robot version of this evening starts with finding the charging cable.

What GoLove.ai gives you:

  • Live voice calls and voice messages
  • She remembers your chat history
  • Photos on request in the chat
  • Image generator with 35 realistic poses and 21 outfits
  • 2 reward stars every day you log in

Monthly Cost: GoLove PRO, Star Packs and OurDream Plans

The entry-cost row is where "what a body adds" gets a price tag. Apps split into a subscription plus a currency, while hardware is a one-off purchase.

GoLove PRO

  • Monthly: about $19.99/month.
  • Annual: about $119.88/year, roughly $9.99/month. This is the best bang for buck.
  • 3-month: about $47.97.

Prices vary by region (lower in some places), and promos of -50% and -70% have shown up. Check the current plans in the app.

Stars and the daily reward

Stars are the in-app currency you spend on generation. Packs start at about $9.99 and climb through larger tiers depending on size and region, and you get 2 free reward Stars a day. The subscription and the Stars are separate line items, so budget for both. (That two-line bill is the part of app pricing I'd most like to see simplified.)

OurDream Premium and Deluxe

OurDream's Premium starts at about $19.99/month, or about $9.99/month on the annual plan ($119.88/year). Deluxe is a pricier tier above that; pricing changes often, so check their site. Images, voice and video draw on DreamCoins, with 1,000 per billing cycle on Premium. It's the same plan-plus-currency split, which is fair enough.

Robot hardware

You make a one-off device purchase priced by the maker. Check their site, and ask whether the AI software carries its own subscription on top.

Building the Companion a Robot Maker Would Have Picked for You

Buy a robot and you get the face the maker chose for you. GoLove.ai's Create wizard puts that choice back in your hands.

There are three starting categories: Realistic, Anime and Trans. There's also Design with AI, where you describe a concept in text and the AI builds the character for you, which is the faster route if you already know your type.

Your custom character isn't just for show. She works in chat, takes photo requests and plugs into the video generator, the same as any character on the roster. Build someone worth sharing and My AI lets you publish her and earn Stars.

Asking a robot for a new face, on the other hand, is a warranty claim.

Robot Hardware, OurDream and GoLove.ai: The Rows That Decide It

Strip the scorecard down to the five rows that decide it:

  • Voice: GoLove.ai has live real-time calls plus voice messages.
  • Memory: GoLove.ai remembers your history plus relationship progression. OurDream covers recent message history.
  • Media: GoLove.ai has 147 video modes plus in-chat photos and video.
  • Mobile: OurDream is web-only.
  • Cost: GoLove.ai is about $19.99/month, versus a hardware purchase priced by the maker.

Who GoLove.ai Is NOT For

Skip it if you want something physical in the room, a fully free unlimited app, or a real human relationship. Hardware or actual people do those better, and I won't pretend otherwise.

> Verdict: GoLove.ai is for adults who want a continuous, voiced, visual companion now, not after a delivery date.

Prices checked 2026-07; promos vary.

GoLove.ai is the pick, and for me it's a no-brainer. It wins the voice, memory and media rows, and you pay for a subscription instead of a device. Build her the way you want and she's ready to talk tonight.
